Day 1: Tashkent- Nukus
You are going to start with flight to Nukus. The full day you will explore amazing highlights of the city. You will visit today the Museum of Savitsky. This Museum is very remarkable and unique, its history goes back to 1960, when Igor Savitsky began collecting forbidden art, paintings of banned Russian avant-gardists. In total, along with household items of ancient Khorezm, the Museum has more than 90 thousand exhibits. The rich collection of valuable exhibits of paintings by Russian and local artists and objects of applied art is the second most important in the CIS. Then you will discover outside of Nukus where you will observe Mizdakhan necropolis an ancient cemetery located near the remains of the Gyaur-Qala fortress. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Nukus - Ayaz Qala - Tuprak Qala - Khiva (290 km, 6 hours)
You will transfer today to Khiva, the most ancient city in Uzbekistan full of history and fascinating sites. Khiva is a beautiful city, a preserved oasis city near the Karakum desert near Khorezm. It was a large city on a deserted section of the Silk Road. Caravans always passed by this city, and camels were always loaded with goods, the gates were open from morning to night. Accorfing the tour route you will explore two fortresses: Ayaz Qala and Tuprak Qala. Ayaz-Qala is one of the most spectacular fortresses in Khorezm. remains of fortifications of the Kushan culture period (III-II centuries BC). Tuprak-Qala is an outstanding monument of history and culture of our country. It is located in the lower reaches of the Amu Darya river, on the territory of modern Karakalpakstan. You will spend the night in a hotel in Khiva.
Day 3: Khiva - Urgench - Tashkent
You are going to explore today fascinating sights of the oldest city of Uzbekistan. You will direct inside of Ichan-Qala. Ichan-Qala is a densely built-up ancient city that has been destroyed and restored many times in its history. The beginning of the construction of Ichan-Kala is considered to be 1598. There city stores centuries old sound buildings, palaces, mosques, Madrasahs, Mausoleums, Minarets, Caravan-Sarais and Bathhouses that changed Ichan-Qala into unique city-monument. In course of the tour you will visit are the Kunya-Ark fortress, Kalta Minor minaret and Tash Khouvli palace, fascinating buildings of Khorezm architectural mastership of 1830s. Evening flight to Tashkent. The night will be in a hotel.
