Kyrgyzstan biking: Tour 7

There is biking tour that you will certainly like. Kyrgyz republic is famous for mountain biking tours and now you also can take a chance to travel there! The country of the heavenly mountains is waiting for you! This bike tour comprises the most renowned mountain roads of the republic. In order to see Kyrgyz pristine nature and unforgettable landscapes you will be biking along Mountain Rivers and gorges.

Day 1: Arrival in Bishkek

From the International Airport of Manas you will be collected by your guide and accompanied to Bishkek (the capital of Kyrgyz Republic). Drive from the Airport to Bishkek City takes half an hour. On arrival in Bishkek you will start the day with a nice breakfast. You will have a rest after accommodation in the hotel*** that is situated in the tranquil part of the city. Today an excursion to Natural Park Ala-Archa will be organized for you. Ala - Archa Park is situated 45 km. south Bishkek, in the Ala-Arch Gorge, on the Kyrgyz ridge (a spur of Tien-Shan). To have a nice view of this famous gorge you will go on the top of the mountain. Drive back to Bishkek. Overnight is in the hotel***. At 7 o'clock in the evening dinner will be served.

Day 2: Bishkek - Tamchi village

This day we will drive via Keuk Ayrik pass to Issyk Kul Lake (1608m. above sea level). This lake is the 2nd biggest mountain lake in the world. The Lake is also called "The treasure of Central Asia". Owing to the fact that the water is salty, Lake Issyk Kul possesses curative qualities. We will have a lunch on Keuk Ayrik Pass. After that we will start cycling down. In the village of Sary Oi our driver will meet us. Drive to the village of Tamchi that is situated on the lake's northern shore. Overnight stay is in the guesthouse.

Day 3: Transfer Tamchi - Kochkor - Sarybulak

Breakfast. Today we start our trip by car via Orto Tokoi water reservoir to Kochkor Village. You will meet a family in Kochkor that will show you how the Kyrgyz traditional felt carpets are produced. During felt show you even could create your own carpet. In Kochkor Village you will also visit the shop of the Kyrgyz handicrafts. Afterwards ride to Sary Bulak village (2310 m. alt., 38 km) by the asphalt road. Transfer to confluence of Kara-Kudjur and Biulioomiu Rivers (7 km, 2390m. alt.) by bike on dirt road. Night is in the tent camp.

Day 4: Ride by bike to the foot of Jalpak pass (58 km, 3345 m)

Today we are going to ride to the foot of Jalpak pass. It is an amazing place that will take you away. You will see many amazing mountain views along the whole way. This place is quite far from the civilization and you can enjoy its beauty to the full. The ride is of moderate difficulty on dirt road in satisfactory condition. Landscape in the gorge is similar to tundra. You will be surprised by the variety of mountains views on the way. Overnight in tents.

Day 5: Ride to the Jalpak pass (3345m. alt.) - Dzhylangach river

This morning we have cycling to Jalpak Pass (3345meters a. s. l.). Afterwards we descend down (25 km) to the Valley of Korumdu, further till Dzhylangach River (the confluence of Balgart and Dzhylangach Rivers forms the River of Kichi - Naryn) to Kara Saz Region. You will have spare time after having lunch. In the gorge, landscape is like in tundra. In this area you could see Kara-Kaman, Archaly and Burkan peaks, which have glacial forms: flat slopes and smooth tops. Lower parts are hilly, covered with loose rock, especially along left bank of Balgart River. This night will be spent at the altitude of 2648 meters a. s. l., in tents.

Day 6: Ride (58 km) Dzhylangach - Kichi-Naryn

This day is easy one. You will cycle along the Rivers of Kichi-Naryn and Balgart. Cycling is on the dirt road. Near Kichi-Naryn River, in the forest, in tents you will spend this night. Since ancient times this place is popular among the nomads. Kyrgyz nomads are very hospitable and like to meet travelers. The Kyrgyz shepherds with all their relatives were coming to this area. Certain big tribes could comprise 1000 yurts and even more. As a big family, all of them were going from one place to another one with a great amount of livestock.

Day 7: Ride (63 km) Kichi-Naryn - Naryn town

Today you will ride to the town of Naryn (2050 m. alt.) along Naryn River. After having breakfast we will ride down to the Village of Kichi - Naryn (2351m. alt.), which is situated 4 km away the confluence of Naryn and Kichi-Naryn Rivers. This day is an easy one. The road to Naryn will surprise you with beauty of its amazing mountains. Naryn town is situated 2800 meters above the sea level; it was built right along the gorge near the longest river in Kyrgyzstan - Naryn. This town is long and narrow. You will have many photo stops because the whole way will be along incredible gorges. Cycling is on the main road. Lunch is on the road. You spend this night in yurts, as nomads do. Yurts are nomadic collapsible abodes. They are made out of wood without using a single nail and felt.

Day 8: Transfer to Bishkek city

Breakfast. We will drive to Bishkek city in the morning. Offered through the views of untouched nature you will be carried away by the wonderful panoramic views. You will have spare time in Bishkek to go for shopping and just to go for a walk. This evening in a restaurant you will have a farewell dinner. You will spend this night in the hotel***.

Day 9: Bishkek

This morning starts with guided city tour. This city tour concludes the visiting of many sights, such as: National Concert Hall, Ala-Too Central Square, the History Museum, Duboviy Park (Oak Park), The Museum of Fine Arts and Pobeda Square (Victory Square). Afterwards we will visit famous Osh bazaar. You will walk there and bargain for different goods. At 7 o'clock in the evening a farewell dinner will be served. Overnight stay is in the hotel***.

Day 10: Transfer to the airport

At the time arranged previously according to your flight details your guide will meet you in your hotel and accompany you to the Airport of Manas.
